Throwback Video:Trick Play- Gary Anderson to Vinny to McDowell

Were going to take a break from preseason clips for a little to bring you some Sam Foolery! Gary Anderson to Vinny Testeverde who tosses to a wide open Anthony McDowell for the TD and early 7-0 lead. Click Here to Watch the Video FULL normal size.... They used to say Sam Wyche would rather fool you than beat you. Well he fooled the San Francisco 49ers in 1992 with the help of this flea flicker play. The Bucs early lead shocked the 49ers, and kept the Bucs in close all game. They lost 21-14, and to be honest, makes you wonder how the 93-95 seasons would have gone had Vinny Testeverde stayed instead of Craig Erickson in those years.

St. Pete Times columnists predict 5.5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers wins..

Well, Gary, you said 6. Romano said 5. That equals 5.5 guys! Here is the video.

This will only be up for 24 hours. Tomorrow at 6 am it will be removed.

Audio of my call in to Shawn King's King David show on 1010 AM

Today, the phone callers were starting to get on my nerves with most callers calling out the Glazers for not spending money on the team.

I brought up that most of those people were the first to complain about the amount of money spent on Derrick Ward, Mike Clayton, Antonio Bryant, Mike Nugent and the contract given to Kellen Winsow…

Unfortunately I didnt get the audio up to that point, but my answer for Shawns question is in the audio file below, so check it out.

Bucstop.com Video Library almost complete

Just to update everyone, after losing my Hard Drive full of Bucs games, my project to rerip them all is underway and about 70% complete. About 85% of the games have had the DVDs ripped to 5.5 Terra Bytes of Hard Disk space, after which each Video_TS file will be ripped to a video file and stored again on a 2 TB drive. This will give me the ability to take clips from any point, in any Bucs game I have, and put them up on Bucstop.com!

In the meantime, thank you for your patience as I am really unable to do many older videos right now, but try to keep up with current HD stuff!

Why Houshmandzadeh should NOT be a Buccaneer

At some point, you begin to get tired hammering a point over and over to any one person or an audience.
I never get tired of this point.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh has no business in a Tampa Bay Buccaneers uniform.

T.J. is NOT washed up, and can still play.

So your saying, how can you contradict yourself like that Niko?
Well I’m not. He would be a good receiver for this team, but every action you EVER take has consequences. In this case, either Arrelious Benn, Mike Williams, or Sammy Stroughter will regress in their progress with this young team. They will regress because TJ will get the reps, instead, and that is NOT how you build a young team.

If you are a real Bucs fan, you should be happy with what the Bucs are doing right now. You should be able to see what is happening. You will NOT have to watch a new QB come in every other 3 years, then some receivers, etc.

Josh Freeman, Mike Williams, Benn, Cadillac, Stroughter, Price, McCoy, Black, Hayes, Talib, T Jack, these are all players that are going to be here for a very long time. This is the foundation of this team, a team that is going to get better and better each year, and continue to fight for playoff spots and championships.

It may not happen this year, but if it doesnt, it will next year. So you may have to sacrifice having a winning team this year, but you will be able to enjoy the football games this year as this young team finds heart, and fights to win their games as they grow together.

Bucs choose to go with a more veteran Punter

Gone is Brent Bowden, who actually punted pretty well for the Bucs this preseason. Except for a couple of unforgivable 25 yard shanks with no one near him. Apparently it was too much for the Bucs coaching staff who picked up punter Chris Bryan from the Green Bay Packers who punted well this preseason; without shanks.

Mark Dominik and Raheem Morris, along with the rest of the pro scouts, have been very busy the last few days picking up some of the bubble players from OTHER teams rosters. This is nothing new for the Bucs lately, as they have bolstered their roster with other teams good players that simply couldn’t survive the numbers. Donald Penn is an example of one of these types of players, as Dominik plucked Penn off of Minnesota’s practice Squad.

The roster is likely to be in flux over the next couple of days, and then will settle down.

Freeman should be good to go for Tuesday's practice; Sundays Game

If you missed it, here is the footage of Josh Freeman whipping the ball around at Reliant Stadium early Thursday night before the Texans game.

Words you never thought you'd here in 2004; Tampa Bay Buccaneers cut Michael Clayton

The Bucs went into the season without their two veteran receivers, Keyshawn Johnson and Keenan McCardell. Instead , a rookie wideout from LSU named Michael Clayton took the Bucs by storm. At first expecting to be Chris Simms’ guy, Clayton became a favorite Target of Brian Griese, and set himself up with a 1,000 yard season and probably would have been rookie of the year if not for Big Ben in Pittsburgh.

Well, It’s over now.

Tampa Bay has Cut Michael Clayton.

For some, its not soon enough; yet as angry as we got with MC, we cheered him when we heard the words “MC is looking good in Camp”…
…we Wanted him to succeed. We wanted him to get 80 catches, 1200 yards, etc.

Some of you may remember some of my first video work on Bucem, the two part video on Clayton.
Did he fall out of favor?
Did he not get the chances?

Its probably a bit of everything all put together. But in the end, MC will ALWAYS be remembered as the guy who had a great rookie year, but never was able to get it together again.

Was he a Bust?
No…he just was a mystery, wrapped up as a wide receiver in another no. 80 jersey.

Corey Lynch is just a plain Play-Maker

You can count stats all you want to; passes defended, how many (or few) TDs you’ve given up, etc. But if you want to play defense for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, you need to come up with splash plays. Interceptions are good; but INTs for TouchDowns? That’s Buc Football.

Corey Lynch knows how to play the Buccaneer brand of football folks. Lynch not only picks off Orlofsky late in the 2nd quarter to end one drive, but before that he picks off Orlofsky deep in Bucs territory to kill a Texan drive and refuses to be caught on the return and scores the Touchdown that makes it 10-0 Bucs.

Lynch has so far become known as a play-maker with his special teams prowess. He has already blocked one kick this preseason, and makes a habit of doing so whenever he is on the field. Now Lynch is scoring on picks, and you have to wonder how far this ride will take him on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
