Bucs Video Clip of the Day!!
Pewter Video: Last Cleveland Game- 2002- Pittman runs! Nice Brad Johnson to Bill Schroeder combo that unfortunately, did not really develop during the regular season.
Click Here to Watch the Video FULL normal size....Michael Pittman shows his upper body strength in this clip as he evades a Browns defender in the first period the last time the Browns invaded Raymond James Stadium in 2002.
Throwback Video:Trick Play- Gary Anderson to Vinny to McDowell Were going to take a break from preseason clips for a little to bring you some Sam Foolery! Gary Anderson to Vinny Testeverde who tosses to a wide open Anthony McDowell for the TD and early 7-0 lead.

They used to say Sam Wyche would rather fool you than beat you. Well he fooled the San Francisco 49ers in 1992 with the help of this flea flicker play. The Bucs early lead shocked the 49ers, and kept the Bucs in close all game. They lost 21-14, and to be honest, makes you wonder how the 93-95 seasons would have gone had Vinny Testeverde stayed instead of Craig Erickson in those years.

You can count stats all you want to; passes defended, how many (or few) TDs you’ve given up, etc. But if you want to play defense for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, you need to come up with splash plays. Interceptions are good; but INTs for TouchDowns? That’s Buc Football. [...]

The name went to Earnest Graham, who consistently performed at a high level during the practice sessions in August, but saw little light after that. Well eventually, Graham became a starter, and saw little action in the second half of preseason [...]

I’ve called for the Bucs to go 8-8 this year, so its time I set the details so you guys can say WOW how smart I am, or WOW what an idiot!
Now keep in mind, anything can happen, Josh Freeman can go down, K2 could be injured, Mike Williams could go down, etc, so these predictions are made September 1st and go by what events are before us on September 1st.
The Bucs never go undefeated at home, but they usually win more than they lose. the Bucs dont win on the west coast, but I say they do for the first time since 1980, because 30 years is a long time to go between beating the 49ers on the [...]

With three of the last four games being blow out losses, the pressure was mounting for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Fans were feeling it too, Steve Duemig had started a weekly ritual of playing the 80′s classic reggae tune “Don’t Worry Be Happy” as his opening music for his Monday [...]

Not much can be said in a positive light in a game like this one, although there were moments of entertainment and comedy, both good and bad. When you have Cadillac Williams running out of the option, and Donald Penn barreling forward with ball in hand, its bound to end up in a chuckle or two.
The Bucs were in this game, I mean they did get the opening kickoff right? Thats the drive where I was simply the most embarrased I ever was as a Bucs fan; with my favorite PRO football team running the option. Not only did they run this 1950s college play, but they ran it to the near [...]

The whole game was exciting for me because the Bucs had never, ever in their existence (in the regular season) played in Buffalo, and the one time they did was preseason way before the ’79 season when I became a Bucs fan!
As we know, this game became a Bills blowout loss, but it didn’t need to be. Much as the Dallas Cowboys loss didn’t need to be as lopsided as it was because of the secondary playing the wrong defense, this game got out of control early when Byron Leftwich decided not to take the sack and toss up an easy Pick [...]

There are alot of people out there who try to paint the ‘bust’ word on Derrick Ward, and that is simply put, plain wrong.
If you just take a look at the whole body of work, the addition of Ward did not go as expected. Only 409 yards on a season does not an upper echelon free agent [...]

I came across an interesting article by Rick Stroud of the St. Pete Times in the Google archives. It is from Feb. 13th, 1998, just after the Bucs turn around season of ’97 when they went 10-6 and shocked the world, with a young bunch of upstart players no one ever heard of yet like Lynch, Brooks, Sapp, Alstott, Dunn, [...]

There are many ways to look at the 2009 season. Some will tell you its quite simple, it was a 3-13 season, but it was also a 1-12 season at one point, and I remember the talk of “would the Bucs win any of their games” because for a while there the possibility of a winless season seemed not so far [...]

1977-1987 seasons have been ripped so far from the disastrous loss of hdd, and a new 2 TB hdd is on the way to add to the 1.5 TB hdd to hold the 551 Bucs games Video_TS folders. Hopefully 3.5 TB will do the trick!

Q: How long did the Bucs have losing seasons in Tampa Bay?
Karen Stilletou, Palm Harbor,FL
A: Im assuming you mean the big stretch of losing years that Bucs fans like myself had to endure without message boards to bash the team, coaches, and players with like Negative Nancys do today simply over ONE year?
Tampa Bay started out as a losing franchise because of the rules of the NFL in 1976, and went 0-14 and 2-14 in their first two years. Then the Bucs went to the playoffs for 3 of the next 4 seasons. But in 1983, Doug Williams was allowed to leave the Bucs for the USFL, and Tampa Bay had to endure 14 straight losing seasons. 12 of them were double digit losing seasons from '83 to '94, then in 1995 the double digit streak was broken with a 7-9 year. Tony Dungy came on board in 1996 but the Bucs had to learn a whole new system and went a little backwards going 6-10 before the turn around happened in 1997 when Tampa Bay got to experience a 10-6 campaign and did not have another losing year until 2003!
