Best of luck to “OPIE”, err “Napoleon”,as the Mike Glennon Mob fades out of Tampa Bay Existence forever.

Josh Freeman…aka FIVE

It was the second year of Greg “Toes on the line” Schiano, who rode the franchise QB, aka FIVE, aka , see photo to right one Mr Josh Freeman. In what is still a major mystery how a guy can break all Bucs QB records worth s peaking about, with a 25 TD and 6 interception season to boot, was somehow out of football a year later.

When the Bucs drafted Mike Glennon, Freeman was supposed to be THE  MAN. Instead it was “another Bucs season”; 0-8 start, Billboards calling for Schiano’s job, and another Rookie QB taking over the Bucs.

Glennon impressed me with his arm, but you could tell he was not starting QB material. He still may not be, but at least Chicago has weapons. The Bears last year had a pretty good offense when Cutler was out of the lineup.

Bryan Hoyer had the offense moving the best, and Matt Barkley showed the Bears from office how fast they needed to cut the rope from Cutler. With Glennon, the have a guy who will not turn the ball over anywhere near as much. He’s got a nice long ball to hit Alshon Jeffrey, Cameron Meredith and Eddie Royal.

But in Tampa, Glennon played the best position money could buy; Back up Quarterback. Now.. the pressure is officially ON.
