Tampa Bay cruising at 8-5, should heed warnings of 2010 to not repeat

The Bucs are 8-5..say that again if you must. They were 3-5 (that rolls off your tongue a little better doesnt it?) and they had lost to Atlanta and Oakland and everyone forgot about Carolina and San Francisco; only two victories that represent the first win over the Panthers in 6 games, and only 2nd win IN San Francisco since 1980! Thats all!

Everyone forgot the Bucs fired 4 coaches in 6 years, killing the depth on this team. They forgot that Oakland is the No.1 seed in the AFC, and Bucs kept up with them for 5 quarters, then played a game against another explosive offense 4 days later!

After this late TD and win at Washington, the Bucs sat at 8-5 on course for playoffs and 10 wins…

Well now the Bucs are 8-5 and they havnt been 8-5 since an amazing win at Washington where Kellen Winslow took a Josh Freeman pass and motored into the end zone. But former Eagle Donovan McNabb on 4th down threw a TD pass,  that the extra point sailed through the wet hands of Graham Gano’s holder; 17-16 win!

Bucs were in the drivers seat for the  Wild Card, just like now. They had a game  against a franchise that had been downtrodden for over a decade but finally playing good; the Detroit Lions.

Kellen Winslow and his defender were playing hand wrestling in the end zone when K2 caught the go ahead  TD pass!

....after this TD was overturned, even two more wins to finish off the season couldnt save Bucs from tiebreakers, and missing out on Playoffs.

“PASS INTERFERENCE, no. 82”

It wasn’t, but Winslow had such a bad reputation, he wasn’t going to win that call. A FG tied the game, allowing Detroit to eat the clock and score the winning drive. Bucs fell behind in the Wild Card  race, and never caught up.

They Destroyed rookie HC Pete Carroll’s seahawks in Tampa, then upset the Saints in New Orleans, waiting to watch a couple games to see if tiebreakers would be in Bucs favor; they were not.

The Bucs missed the playoffs at 10-6, instead the Green Bay Packers took the spot and ran with it…to the Super Bowl.

Dont turn the Cowboys into the Lions 2016 Bucs… go do your thing!

Bucs finished 10-6, but lost out in tiebreakers. They left the Superdome victorious, but not knowing their fate.
